With its experienced engineering service, Fermco uses specialized software to calculate loads and spans the joists must withstand, even concrete floors up to 1 1/2 inches (38 mm). When manufacturing prefabricated shell houses and cottages, kit or modular houses, single or muti-family homes, cottages, condos, or agricultural and commercial buildings, Fermco uses a variety of raw materials such as wood or steel.
Fermco's floor trusses are available up to 40 feet (12,2 m) spans depending on use, loads, and bearings. Most populars are "V" wood open web trusses, custom designed or ajustable, ajustable SOLUTION trusses, ajustable "V" wood trusses with steel web and the VERSA-PLUS ajustable trusses.
All open web trusses are manufactures with oven dryed lumbers and their design allows for duckwork and electrical wiring to go through, avoiding drilling. They are also economical and easy to install with the installation plans provided at delivery. They also allow many on site adjustment possibilities while meeting the highest vibration prevention standards.
All Fermco's Shell or Batiflex prefabricated cottages and houses use open web trusses.
